Chocolate Mocha Pound Cake


  • 1 bag of WE Made Pound Cake Mix

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 1/3 cup strong coffee

  • Glaze

    • 1.5 cups powdered sugar

    • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

    • 3 tablespoons strong coffee


  1. Prepare WE Made Pound Cake mix as directed. (You can substitute buttermilk for whole milk) Once you add the dry ingredients to the mixer, add 1 cup of cocoa powder and 1 1/3 cup of strong coffee.

  2. Mix as directed and add to the pan and bake at 325 for 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your oven.

  3. Let the cake sit for 20 minutes to cool and then release from the pan. Continue cooling on a cake plate or cooling rack until cake is thoroughly cool before adding glaze.

  4. Prepare the glaze: mix all ingredients together in a bowl and drizzle on the cake once it’s cool.
